Whether you’re passing through town on a troop train or just looking for a good time –
come to the
at the John Harris-Simon Cameron Mansion
Friday, June 9 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Join in a nostalgic evening of the fare and fun found in a stateside World War I canteen a hundred years ago this year. Sandwiches, donuts and coffee for the doughboys were always on the menu. We’ve added beer and wine—and dancers from Pa DanceSport will show us the popular dances of the era, like the tango and foxtrot! Free parking in lots adjacent to the mansion. Reserve early as space is limited.
$50 per person. Reservations at (717) 233-3462.
During the canteen, visit our new exhibit “Uncle Sam Calls: Dauphin County in World War I,” including dozens of original war posters. Open through December 22, 2017.
