2:30 p.m. Victorian Parlor. Admission by donation. Historical Society members admitted free.

A presentation by Barry Loveland of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center of Central Pennsylvania, highlighting the efforts of the LGBT History Project to collect and present the stories of LGBT history.

Why is the project important? Knowing this history is important to the LGBT community because the evolution of civil rights is built on the successes of the past. Understanding the history of this struggle for equality helps put in perspective how the movement has developed and matured and provides both a sense of accomplishment and inspiration for future efforts.

A tour of the Harris-Cameron Mansion will be available at 1:00 p.m. at regular admission prices. Tour tickets include free admission to the 2:30 p.m. presentation.
