Herman Alricks Herman Alricks was the son of James and Martha (Hamilton) Alricks. He was born at Lost Creek Mill in Juniata County in 1804, and his family moved to Harrisburg in 1814. He received his education at Harrisburg Academy and read law in the office of Thomas Elder, Esq. before becoming a prominent Dauphin County lawyer. He fathered several children and died in 1874.
