3 - 5 cloudy. Rain. Unpleasant. Jno. Calvin came home this morning From Monocacy & Baltimore with his Regiment 194 Pa vols.
I have enjoyed an hour and more in drawing my image for this one.
Had one man Jos. [?] assisting to put it awa at stable
Charming mare - noble to - Jno. Calvin rode her. [?] on here at home
After 2 pm brining up coal. getting shavings at Jno. B. Simons camp
Potatoes into the cellar . I paid him .50
Being about 15 cents over what I told him I thought offering him
He was making in all about 3 ½ hours. Was at Rawn SB [?]
And 5 pm and found only clerk [?] there – and [?] Smith
I called in court house as a spectator for 10 to 15 minutes about 8 pm. At a

From New York Brooklyn making a speech who certainly told more big lies
In that time than I was minutes hearing him. Home 8 and to bed 9 pm
4 – 6 Rain in last night and some this morning. Cloudy rest of day after noon
I was at 4 [?] 4/30 pm. Rooms 11 am [?] Court House 3 to 4pm
And went to see Dr. Charlton 4 ¼ pm. He is still very unwell & very weak. Also at some
[?] just before ten – This Nora Berry as [?] who used to live with us.

Spent evening at home and to bed 9 pm.
