15-2 Clear. Fine. Pleasant. Ride in Fillenny(?) at 8 ¼ am with George Laurel to Dauphin (9 miles) for (?) by me Hoke prep. He had a pleasant ride comfortable time and got home at 1 pm went afternoon to eat chiefly at home to bed 9 1/2-10.
16-3 Clear. Fine. Pleasant. Warm Sun at Sup. Court from 9 or 9 ½ am to 12 ½ pm. Spent afternoon at home till 4 pm In?. 5 Bottles of SV (?)- nine of Major Hooker tough of Franklin Co. I (?) of 1800,1 same 1864. 1 Muscatell,1 Catawba and 1(?)- nine. Then I offered to pay him for them he said he would see almost it. I (?) try it first. Daughter Fanny and self walked in afternoon and stopped at Mrs. Mary P. Beatty’s her aunts to who I handed $25.00 as she gives to [?] Tomorrow to pay G. Peacock for the port wire (Sp 8 [?]) $25.00

17-4 Clear. Fine. Pleasant. Was at Mayor [?] office 9 am and 9 ½ to 10 heard complaints against [?] [?] and me of mine in Roth alley among the rest. Has at [?] Ct. from 10 ½ to 12 ½. Letter to Mr. Calvin Edge hill by his mother and note by me about Mr. White controlling the question of his going to Fenton back next. My health is slightly better but is very variable coughing at night the most annoyance .

18-5 Clear. Cloudy. Some rain 11 am and later. Has at church most time Mrs. F Nyeth and A Burnett [?] there. I called at Macsowards [?] umbrella at 11 ½ am. My [?] are pushing the business [?] Cleaning yesterday and to day Mary Ann Hinton assisting (10, 12 imt.) and feeling a good deal under common par today.
