The collection contains three scrapbooks of printed clippings concerning a variety of information. The first includes a report of a coming meteor shower, reasons for wearing a moustache, and the notices of marriages and deaths. An inscription on the inside of the front cover identifies it as "Mrs. Julia Weitzel's Scrapbook, 1867" but also written in ink on the inside of the front cover is the name "Annie E. Weitzel." The inside of the back cover also bears the name Annie Weitzel. The second scrapbook has clippings from 1864 to 1887 with the name of Annie E. Weitzel on the inside of the cover. It has clippings primarily of stories published in newspapers, poetry, short news articles, and writings of interest to women. The third scrapbook has clippings from the 1830's of stories, news, poetry, etc.
