The collection consists of one map or sketch of the defensive works and approaches at Harrisburg, signed by John A. Wilson, Assistant Engineer and dated September 2, 1863. A notation in the corner states that it was "Rec'd with Capt. Wheeler's letter of Aug 31 /63." The sketch shows the elevation of the land along Chambersburg Turnpike approaching the west side of the Susquehanna River.
