Scope and Content

The collection contains a small leather-bound handwritten roll book with the names of the regiment listed according to rank; a newspaper clipping which provides a complete and accurate muster roll of the Harrisburg City Cavalry under the command of Capt. Chas. C. Davis, attached to the 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment under the command of Col. Geo. C. Wynkoop, undated; a clipping concerning the Second Regiment, Company I, listing the names of the soldiers recruited at Harrisburg and mustered in on April 20, 1861; and a pass issued by order of Col. E. C. Williams to Philip Linn for passage in and out of Camp Curtin, May 5, 1861.
