The collection contains handwritten pay orders for bills presented to the company of Harrisburg Greys commanded by Capt. Daniel W. Gross, 1832-1834, a list of members contributing to the purchase of a bass drum, and a roll book of the members of the Harrisburg Greys by Samuel Berry, First Sergeant, 1831 and A. B. Hamilton, First Sergeant, 1833.
Background
The Harrisburg Greys was a group of volunteers organized in the early 1830's. The company dissolved in 1838.
