Scope and Content

The collection contains a newspaper clipping from The Patriot published November 7, 1977, which describes the aviation career of Samuel W. Kuhnert, known for his aerial photography. The article includes anecdotes of his early years and how he began in the business of photography. Included, also, is a 1935 aerial photo of downtown Harrisburg.

A reprint of another clipping, undated, provides additional material concerning S. W. Kuhnert.

Includes a poster advertising his photo aerial service, advertisements for three "photographic phenomenons," for special film savings, for the "World's Largest Hot Air Balloon," photographed by Kuhnert, stationery of the Kuhnert & Potteiger Aerial Show, advertisement for color movies, and a hand drawn cartoon. The advertisements are undated.
