Scope and Content

The collection contains programs for the building campaign and for the laying of the cornerstone of the new Forster Street Branch of the Y.M.C.A. building in November, 1931; for the Dedicatory Services of the building in March, 1933; for the Eighth Annual Eastern Pennsylvania Colored Older Boys' Conference in October, 1934; and for a Testimonial Banquet honoring Charles G. Thomas in May, 1957; newspaper clippings concerning the organization, 1932-33, and one clipping from the Patriot News in November, 1994 providing the history of the Y.M.C.A. with photo taken in 1935.

Contains twelve job applications with photo and personal history of applicants for the position of the Executive Secretaryship Forster Street Y.M.C.A. and a telegram sent to Marion S. English offering the position to him in August, 1942.

Contains the minutes of the Camp Curtin Branch YMCA Retirement Banquet Committee, 1969, with financial statements and correspondence.
