11-1 Clear Cloudy & some Rain. Rev. J.J. Mitchell on parting cleet [?] preached for us morning and Evn. [Evening] his [appointment ?] having regularly commenced with the first of this month. I was there morning and evening. I walked around 2 ½ miles or so with the dogs between 4 and 5 PM. Home from church in Evn. [Evening] at 8 ¾ and to be 9 ¾ .

Yesterday where he is going to quarter with his wife till [ ? ] and do lunch [ ? ] at leisure times when he is not on duty at soldiers next where he is employed by the month. Daughter Fannie and self walked after breakfast before her school time. I walked through day and evening 2 to 3 miles. Met Board of Enrollment, Morning and afternoon. Dr. C Gulf called whom [ ? ] to take leave of absence from our duties as Members of the Board of Enrollment from noon [ ? ] to Monday next 19 mit[?] [ ? ] he afterwards [?] run importance put said argument into writing. Met Board of Enrollment. Dr. Chanlton & self in Finenoon [?] to meet again Monday next. Capt. C. yet stuck in bed. I called to see him at 4 PM or so.
