Scope and Content

Collection contains a rotogravure supplement of The Evening News, October 5, 1935, celebrating the centennial of the Dauphin Deposit Trust Company. It provides a pictorial history of the bank, the personnel, and the city of Harrisburg in 1835 and 1935, along with a broadside announcing "One Hundred Years Afterwards."

Includes a newspaper supplement printed on the 125th anniversary of the bank in 1960 which provides the history of the bank and a look at "modern banking;" two copies of "The Dauphine," the magazine of the Bank in August and September, 1981 which announce 146 years of progress in banking.

Includes, also, an 1860's era partially filled-out check book from Dauphin Deposit Bank, owner unknown.

Thirty Annual Reports, 1967 to 1996, have been added to the collection. The Annual Report for 1976 provides information about the change in the name from Dauphin Deposit Trust Company to Dauphin Deposit Corporation.
