Scope and Content

Consists of the "Fourth Annual Report of the Railroad Men's Christian Association of Harrisburg," for the year ending May 1, 1893, and includes the names of the Advisory Board, Officers, and Board of Managers; membership and statistics of the year; the financial report and the meetings schedule and membership qualifications.

Background

The Railroad Men's Christian Association was located at the corner of Sixth and Cumberland Streets, Harrisburg. The Association rooms were open daily, except Sundays, and prayer meetings were held each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. All railroad men and their friends were welcome to attend and could become members with the payment of one or two dollars a year, depending on the type of membership required.
