Scope and Content

The collection contains five programs for presentations at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the campus of Harrisburg Community College, 1985, 1989-90, 1996-97.

Background

The Rose Lehrman Arts Center was built in 1975 and has become a regional center for the fine and performing arts. The center serves the needs of students in communication and the arts as well as audiences and artists throughout central Pennsylvania. The Center has two theatres, the 376-seat auditorium theatre and the studio theatre which can seat up to 180. There is also an art gallery and a concert room, a nine foot Steinway concert grand piano and an electronic synthesizer. There is a terraced patio rose garden which opens off the gallery and a wood-paneled lobby which hosts receptions and houses the box office and the concession. Painting, sculpture, and ceramic studios, an art room and piano practice rooms are available for the students in the arts.
