Join us for An Evening with John Harris, Jr.: A Look at Life in Harrisburg in 1776. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this timely program will invite us to step back into the world of Harris’ Ferry—also known as Paxton—in the Revolutionary era. Reenactor David Biser will interpret John Harris, Jr. and bring to life the people, pressures, and everyday realities of the community in the late 1700s.
The program will explore community life, making a living, currency, Native interaction, slavery, food and drink, leisure time, Harris’ Ferry, and Harris’ contributions to the Revolutionary War.
