Brewster Esq Phila"[Philadelphia] about case 463. 4th Raw[?] Rep. – paid Mary (hired woman by Frances $1"50 in full of her wages to this day (nice [?] 19[?]) – took walk at 5 P.M. Observed that Canal Basin is frozen over which it was not yesterday. Was at my office till 9 ¼ P.M.

30 ~ 4 ~ Clear ~ Milder – I paid for Marketing 85 ½ cts pork Cornmeal. Also for 2 hams weighing 10 ½ & 10 ¾ in all 21 ¼ lbs at 7 ½ cts pe[?] 1lbs $1"59 – also for two other Hams weighing 9 & 93/4 in all 18 ¾ lbs at 8 cts: pe lb[per pound] $1"50 – got last hams of Mr.[?] Breme of whom I bought 2 Saturday last. I trimmed & salted So"[?] hams – po"[paid] for salt Pe[?] s[?] at Fisks 6 cts – Paid W. Ban Auctioneer for 17 1/26 oz of c[?] at 37 cts per yd. Bought at this auction this morning $6~47 & drew him check on the Harrisburg Bank for Said $6"47 (in R. Book) Sold 84 yds of paid basket [?] I did not want –s-o much to Frances B Zarmon[?] for $3"18 ¾ each. Sent DW Rawn The "Reporter" "Keystone" of last week. Rec[received] [?] M.P. Fox Esq late [?] for my client [?] A. Altee on Ex. no 35 Nov. 7. 1836 Dau Cou Ple[?] on a/c $20 Rec[received letter from D.B. Carter (client) Phila"[Philadelphia] Nov 26/36 po"[paid] pos[postage] 12 ½ more in reply. Was at Mr. Js. Es[?] for Fire proof mortar – got home sent K.T. for it. Was at my office till 9 ¼ P.M.

2 ~ 6 Clear Cold. Paid Malitia[?] fine $1 in full to Jacob Langer[?] collector which was not remitted by the Court of appeal on the 19th last Mo. When I po"[paid] said collector another $1 ([?] loose Receipt for both dollars.) Rec[received] letter from W[?] A. Altee "1/2 way house" duties today – was at my office till 9 P.M. took walk 2 or 3 miles after 4 ½ P.M.
