Nov 28/36’ po pos[paid postage] 16 cts – More in reply ~ Rec[received] letter from TJ Bryant Esq Phila"[Philadelphia] Introductory of [?] Rhein[?] Esq Member of H. of Rep of Phil~ Co. who deld[delivered] it in Court[?] [?] with – Sewellen[?] another member elect from same Co. Major M[?] who introduced them – Philip Newbeken in my office this morning. Recd[received letter from F.E. 6 ~ 3 Clear ~ Pleasant ~ I was at the capital from 11 A.M. after walking a mile or two till 1 P.M. ~ at Court in afternoon – introduced Mr C. Boervizer[?] who is an applicant for Door Rep in the H of Rep. To Hinkson of Del. Co & Mr Clellans[?] of Fayette Co. wrote note for him to C. Gilmore Esq [?] Rep from Butler Co. was at my office till 9P.M. A Mahon Esq there 1 hour or more Paid for a Beef tongue[?] 18 ¾ ~

7 ~ 4 Clear ~ Beautiful ~ po[paid for marketing 39 cts to Mr. Hinckle for a pork weighing 92 lbs[?] a $[?] $5"52 for 4 lbs of sugar at Bells 50 cts (Present Peter Merrich) for a butcher knife at St[?]s 25 cts. For salt [?] Peterg[?] at Finks 36 cts – to Jacab Boyar (client) for 1 B[?] wheat flour. Del[delivered] $10.50 (in R. Book) handed Frances for her own use to buy materials for [?] & $5.00 I was at the capital of the Electoral College from 11 ½ A.M. to 1 P.M. – cut up & salted my pig bought this morning after 4 P.M. was at office after dinner till that time nearly – at office till 9 P.M. afterthat[?]

Our Black woman Mary went off the night before last & did not return – Dinah Walters Came to work yesterday at 4 P.M. – I po[paid] for ware[?] at the polters[?] 50 cts – our family took tea at Grimitaus[?] – Michael Brown in my office at 7 or 8 P.M. I was at my office till 9 P.M. Po[paid] for 12[?] of oil at cultrits[?] 81 ¼

Senate a few lives in farm shut[?] to him over my own signature sent enclosure with names of all of Van B. electors recommending Mr. Barrwik for some station[?] under Franklin Rec[received of C. Lhay[?] Esq Check $2"50 on an order Rec[received in a letter from [?] [?]sens May 11th last Michael Brown at my office for 1 hour I had [?] for Sundries[?] at Maples 5cts.
