24-2 Clear & very mild & fine-did not freeze last night-paid for Sundries 12 1/2-was in at Nat Am Cen short time this morning. Richd McAllister Esq & self walked a mile near dinner time-Jno Riggs & R D Hammond Esq & self walked 3 or 4 miles from 3 ¼ to 4 ¾ PM-spent Evg in Parlour & to bed 9 ½.

25-3 Clear & very mild & fine-did not freeze last night-rode on horseback from 9 ½ to 11 ½ AM 12 mis -Paid for a Lard Lamp $3.00 at Joel Minkleys (v.B&K.). Bill Burrows Cold boy left this morning by mutual consent (v.21 Sept.) & Chas W. Rinehart-commenced this Evg to tend my horse-Recd letter from Christian "Kintzel Millersburg Feb 24th "-Richd D Hammond Esq & self walk & walk about 4 ½ PM. And look through Mr Griffiths stable. Spent Evg in parlour and to bed 9 ¼ PM.

Amt $1.80-rode on horseback from 9 ¼ to 10 ¾ AM 8 mis & walked 2 mis about 4 PM.-spent Evg in parlour & to bed 9 ½ PM.

27-5 Clear & fine-cooler than yesterday & lightly froze ground very little last night. pd George Hocken for 1075 lbs Hay deld this day $4.83 at $9 ton Paid Hannah Banyan wages $4.00 in full yesterday inclusive (v.9 inst & 15 wt-) pd for 1 Bottle Bulls Sasaparilla 75 cts for Daughter Mary (v. 8 Jany & 16 Nov). rode on horseback from 10 ¼ to 11 ¼ AM 8 mis & walked about 4 to 5 PM. 3 mis ~spent Evening in parlouur and to bed 9 ½ PM.
