2-1 Clear & Fine-very mild. appearance of Jnon Sukema-wife & son Chas went to church sin morng . Daughter & self remained at home. I walked mile or so about 5 PM. spent rest of day & Eveng at home and to bed at 9 PM.

3 - 2 Clear & very windy all day but mildish fresh in afternoon-but not very cold-rode from 10 ¾ to 11 ¾ AM 5 mis ~spent rest of day chiefly in office-Recd letter from Wm Boyd (??) him Mch 1. "no reply to mine of 21 all. also from Mrs Sarah Hebbel "Millersburg Mch 1" with affdt etc Enclosed I pd P.os 12 1/2. spent Eveng in office till 10 Pm. Richd McAllister Esq in also Jesse McKeene. before him & to bed 10 ¼ PM.

4 3 Cloudy & coolish in forenoon-didn’t freeze last night. Rain & hail afternoon-rode on horseback between 10 AM & noon to Geo Shuks Smithshop & got my horses fore shoes moved-wrote letter to Wm W. Todd Esq No 370 North front St Phil (??) etc according to request of Sarah Hoebbels letter of yesterday alw to Adam Brightbill Narvon on subject of Mr Boyds letter recd yesterday-Gov Wm R Shunk breakfasted with us this morning-spent Evg at home in parlour & office & to bed 9PM.

5 4 Rain in last night & this morning-cleared up after breakfast. rained hard about 1 PM & then cleared up again-very windy-paid for 2 lbs Butter 30 cts-Recd of Geo Utz for Trimbles heir $2.25 on a/c of rent. Spent Evg in office & to bed at 10 PM.

6 5 Clear & fine & pleasant. Mild-did not freeze last night-rode on horseback from 10 to 11 ½ AM 9mis wrote letter to Gov Shunk present & kept copy. Wrote to Thos R. Trimble Chester Co & kept copy. was at Public School (Phip Temery) this afternoon with Judge Bucher transferring sholars to Mr Schreiner, -walked 2 or 3 mis at sundry spells through the day. Spent Eveng in Parlour & office and to bed at 9 ½ PM.

7 6 Clear & Fine & pleasant. C. W. Rinehart was buried this afternoon-pd Billy (Cold boy that was at Judge Docks for cleaning my horse etc 6 ½ cts. note to Jacob Seiler about Bal. of Peacock Judgt rode on horseback 12 mis from 3 to 5 ¼ PM. Spent Evg in Parlour & office & to bed at 9 ½ PM.

Mc Cabe 14 Apl. 7 '45 & was entered morning from 10 ½ AM till noon & from 2 to 6 ½ PM in trial of said case for (?) arbitration, recd letter from Jeremiah Youtz Middn Mch 7 & Posted reply to mine of v. 7 all=also from S. D. Adair Esq (?) & pd Pos 6 cts-spent Evg in office & to bed at 9 PM.
