Elizabethville CCC Camp Quad (1933-1937)

The Civilian Conservation Corps was a popular part of the New Deal. 82% of people surveyed in 1936 supported the program. By 1939, 11% called it the "greatest accomplishment" of the New Deal. Congress stopped funding the CCC in 1942.
