The Hotel Hershey

The hotel held its grand opening on May 26, 1933. Employing hundreds of workers, it cost $2 million to build. This image likely appeared in the paper to announce the opening of the grand Castilian Ballroom. A golf course and the Hershey Gardens were also established during the Depression.
