The Pennsylvania Capitol Complex and Surroundings (c1936) In the years leading up to the Depression, many structures were erected around the State Capitol including the South Office Building (1923), North Office Building (1929), State Street Bridge (1930), and Education Building (1931). The Public Works Administration approved $7 million for the Finance Building, under construction in this photo and completed in 1939. |
