Farm Show Traffic

Looking east, this 1940's photo shows heavy traffic on Harrisburg's Maclay Street, likely leaving the Pennsylvania Farm Show. Cars are bumper to bumper from the bridge over the railroad tracks to the Cameron Street intersection, and the side of the road is crowded with people in winter dress. The State Hospital is in the background. There is a sign on the white stand at left that reads, "Ice Cream Bricks, 5 cents". Photo ID: MG698-226.
