Joseph D. Ferry Garage

Outside Joseph D. Ferry's Garage and Machine Shop at 125-131 South 11th Street in Harrisburg, a group of men dressed in overalls stand with several cars, including one marked "The Boyer Joy Giving Car." J. D. Ferry advertised his shop where automobiles and all kinds of machinery are rebuilt and repaired and where models and new parts are made. Seemingly out of place in this 1912 photo, one man sits atop a donkey. The present-day location would be about a block away from the State Street bridge overpass on Cameron Street. Photo ID: B05231.
