People in Line for Operator's Licenses and Tags

A crowd of people in winter dress are lined up for their operator's license and tags at the temporary office buildings behind the State Capitol. This photo was likely taken in the 1930's after the North and South Office Buildings were already completed, and the "temporary" buildings were put to other uses. Several police officers are on hand to control the crowd. Other similar photos in HSDC's collection suggest today's wait at the DMV may be short in comparison. Photo ID: MG698-903.
